ABOUT AMITABH

Health care economist Amitabh Chandra examines the unique effects that economics and market factors have on the development of precision medicine. Amitabh’s research focuses on productivity, pricing and innovation in healthcare, medical malpractice, and racial disparities in healthcare. His research has been published by numerous research journals, and has received extensive media coverage. An advocate for health equity, Amitabh has testified to the United States Senate and the United States Commission on Civil Rights. He is a Professor at Harvard Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and serves as Chair Editor of the Review of Economics and Statistics. Amitabh is also an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine.
